Back On Track.

Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love my food! I will go straight to McDonalds before the thought of eating something healthy even crosses my mind! That being said though, being so indulgent with my food means I need to keep on track with my exercise. Lately I have been very lazy because the thoughts of the gym actually frightens me but once I get back into a routine I know I will be flying it. Instead I have been taking the more health conscious route when it comes to my daily routine, taking the stairs instead of a lift, making sure I drink at least 2 litres of water a day along with staying on my feet in work and the odd evening walk here and there. Nothing strenuous trust me, I love to laze about but just enough to keep my metabolism up and to make sure I remain comfortable in what I wear and how I feel! That being said, i've decided to kick things up a notch with the longer evenings and remotely better weather! I have a lot of plans for this Summer with a lot of festivals and trips with my friends so I want to make sure I feel the best I can feel. I guess what I am trying to say is you don't have to cut out the things you love to tone up a little bit, there is enough pressure on us with other things that watching every single thing you eat should not be one of them. If you feel like having a McDonalds, have it. If you want that 99 with sprinkles, get it! Life is too god damn short to be worrying how many calories you are having, you are entitled to treat yourself to nice things every once in awhile just get active in some shape or form to balance out the bad with the good. We aren't rabbits, we're not supposed to live on lettuce and salads!!

Stuck In A Rut!

I think everyone gets stuck in a rut every once in a while and this weekend I was certainly right in the middle of one. I managed to get the whole weekend off work and had so many plans to get stuff done but what did I end up doing - NOTHING! Don't get me wrong, it was nice to take a step back and laze around and do nothing but it has also made me feel anxious because I was really unproductive, quite down because I have been sick for the last few weeks and I think I have just let it all get on top of me a little - it was bound to happen eventually! I've been doing so well this year by helping others out, pushing myself outside my comfort zone along with working harder than ever before! Sometimes I am a little hard myself, I keep taking things on thinking I can manage them all, I try to listen and help everyone out as much as possible forgetting that I also need a little help myself and I end up getting buried underneath it all. To make matters worse I know how lucky I am, I am so blessed because in reality I am healthy, I have an amazing family, a great group of friends and I never want for anything but because sometimes I still feel a little down at times, the guilt comes creeping in! I start giving out to myself for feeling this way when I have a million and one things to be thankful for but I suppose that is the vicious circle of anxiety. Some days are great and some are terrible but it's finding a balance between the good and the bad that makes it all worth while. I have a lot of exciting plans for the next few weeks with a trip to Edinburgh next week which I am very excited about so I don't want to have this dark cloud around me. I am going to stop putting so much pressure on myself to have an "Instagram Perfect" life and just be ME! It's a new week, a new day and another chance to for a fresh start!

Power Suit x Primark*

Pink Two Piece - Primark
Did you ever find a piece of clothing that you love so much you'd happily wear it everyday? That is exactly how I feel about this Pink Primark Two Piece Suit, I mean - I AM OBSESSED! Pink is a majooooor trend this Spring/Summer and who would of thought that a girl who loves black hoodies and leather pants would fall in love with a bright pink suit? Me either! I honestly feel like it is my power suit. You could wear it for a night out with the girls or for a day shopping like I did here and it will look AMAZING! I decided to keep the look very casual of course, adding an edge to this tailored look. A slogan tee and some simple trainers were a must but I think the suit speaks for itself! Now I am off to buy 10 more of these so I am never without one!

International Women's Day.

Seeing as today is International Women's Day, I thought it was the perfect time for a new post. I am not going to get into the in's and out's of this monumental day but instead I am just going to say thank you! Thank you to all the incredible women that are in my life, whether they are from my family, friends or even my community, I am surrounded by a great bunch! I am in an industry where people almost expect every girl to be in competition with each other but that is certainly not the case for me. I have made the best friends I could only dream of from this industry and I honestly think I was meant to meet them! Girls I turn too when I am feeling defeated and girls who support me when I want to take a chance, I am 100% surrounded by a team of #GirlBosses! I think it is very refreshing to see women showing each other support, especially in this day and age. I am not scared to see what the future has in store for the female gender, instead I am excited to see what is to come! It's no surprise the our voices are getting louder and changes are starting to be made - the world will become our oyster!

Last week I was lucky enough to be at the Irish launch of L'OrĂ©al's new Colorista Range as the Irish Ambassador with Dominique Nugent. It is a range I am very proud to support and I am very excited for what the next few weeks have in store but for now see all the launch photos on The Irish Independent and Image.ie.
PS: We also managed to have a little chat and dance on the Primark Snapchat (@PrimarkSnaps) at the launch too!
