The 22 Year Old Nana!

I like to be a little different, I was never born to just "fit in" and I am 100% ok with that! It has taken me forever to realise that I am perfectly fine the way I am and just because I don't act like many people the same age as me, that that is ok too. In my group of friends and in work I am known as the nana - honestly an 80 year old would have more get up and go for a social life more than I would. I never had a grá for a night life and I much prefer to sit in on a Saturday Night watching Britains Got Talent than anything else. Some say I will regret it when I am older, that I didn't live a crazy youth but in all honesty I think I will actually appreciate it. I'll appreciate the fact that I accepted who I was at such a young age and didn't try to fit in like everyone else. I'll be thankful that I spent my youth doing the things I love, spending my time with the people who mean the most to me and for appreciating the quieter moments in life. I think in this day and age, it's so important for people to realise, especially the youth of today that you don't have to fit in, you don't have to be the same as that girl on Instagram with a million likes, that you don't have to be falling around in a nightclub on a Saturday night to enjoy your life. You weren't put on this earth to please others, you put here to please yourself! So take it from me, the 22 year old Nana, spend every minute of your life doing something you love and don't regret a single second of it!

The Lost Two.

I think "The Lost Two" is a fairly apt title for the two of us. Meet my friend Lisa! I've been friends with Lisa since my very first day of Primary School, at just 4 years of age we bonded over our blonde bowl-haircuts, our inability to draw on the page in front of us and that little bit of a difference that was in us. Fast forward 18 years and here we are still as good friends as ever! From pretending to be Mary Poppins on slides, hiding in cabby houses to our love of fashion and attending the same College Course, we are quite literally two peas in a pod! What I love about our friendship is that we might not see or hear from each other for months but when we do meet up, nothing has ever changed! We were always the odd ones in school, we loved art and creating things and when we grew up that turned into a strong passion for all things fashion and creativity. I think if you ask anyone they will say you could never really pin point us - the two of us have notions. The direct college path was not right for either of us and 4 years later I think we are both happy to say we didn't follow the typical route. When you have a creative mind and soul you are always thinking up of new ideas, have crazy plans and most importantly, you know exactly who you are and what you want from life. With a rather mature head on both of us, I think it is fair to say we will be friends for life. Nothing motivates me more than a chat with Lisa and when you find a friend like that, you sure as hell don't let them go!

My ClearTeen Adventure.

Before I start, this post is not sponsored, paid for or anything above those lines but I am fortunate enough to be collaborating with ClearTeen on my next adventure so I wanted to share it with everyone. Anyone that has been following me since day one or knows me personally, knows how insecure I am about my smile. It is something that has bothered my for years and working as a Makeup Artist and a Fashion Blogger been insecure about my smile and my teeth has only gotten worse over the years. If you flick back through my posts you will know I rarely smile in a photo and for someone who is potentially one of the smiliest people in person, in photos and videos I am very conscious of my teeth - it's one of the main reasons I have not started my Youtube Channel properly yet! Getting braces has always been something I have wanted to do but choosing the right set visually and financially was always a difficult decision. Being 22 years of age, I didn't want to have train track braces as they were known as growing up and preferred to get something potentially invisible so that no one would really know I even had braces. When I came across ClearTeen in Nenagh Dental and Orthodontic Clinic it was a no brainer. I decided to meet the lovely owner and orthodontist Romana to discuss my insecurities, what I wanted fixed and the information and service she provided was second to none. Providing the top of the range service scanning my teeth and showing me on screen within 15minutes what needed to be done, I knew I was in the best hands. There was no painful fillers or sticky mouth moulds done, it was all digitally analysed to make sure every inch of my teeth was covered. Within the next two weeks, I will be starting my ClearTeen journey and I cannot wait to show you all. Finally fixing something that has been bothering me for years with ClearTeen is a dream come through and I cannot wait to share the results with you all.
You too could win a full set of Invisalign Braces with ClearTeen by entering here. T's&C's apply!

The Grind.

As I am writing this, I am currently hiding inside my office at home where I am supposed to be cramming for my final year exams but instead I am doing everything but that. There is nothing worse than having to study when the weather is so good because it's probably one of the rare weeks of sunshine we will have this Summer. None the less, this day next week I will be completely finished with college so it'll be all worth while. You may have noticed from my social media posts lately that life has become a little hectic, that there is a lot going on but despite all that I have never been as determined to progress in life and reach my goals - cliché I know. It may be hard at times but being so busy is a blessing in disguise, it means you are chasing your goals, making waves and getting one step closer each and every day. I know that in a few years time I will be so proud of myself for putting in those extra hours work, for choosing to stay in and study than go out and for believing in myself enough to know I can make it. Life is so damn short, it's our duty to live it.

Where Have I Been?

I've been pretty MIA on the blog recently and to be honest I just didn't have the time to post or shoot looks over the last few weeks! Life became a little hectic and I knew it would happen but of course I wasn't prepared for it. I feel like I have literally jumped from semi-adulthood to full blown adult over the last few weeks and to be honest I could not be happier. Of course that means more responsibilities but I can live with that. I have started a new job with my dream company & it has been the best - of course like any new job the first few days were tough but after 2 very busy weeks I have settled in and have a great team around me so I am very excited to see what is in store over the next while.
Along with that I have been nearing the end of my college course - AT LONG LAST! I submitted my final assignment and presentation last week and the relief that was lifted with it was incredible. Despite the fact I have my final exam in 2 weeks I am not as stressed about it to be honest, I will worry about it closer to the time - I hope! Other than that I have just spent my days living my life, enjoying time with my friends and family.
My blog became a bit of a background thought for me as I forgot the very reason I started one and focused on numbers which made me fall out of love with it but after a lot of thinking back and forth I am ready to drive on with my love of fashion being the focal point of Love Life! Thankfully though, after taking a few hours out for planning I finally have myself some way organised and have some VERY EXCITING collaborations coming up that I cannot wait to share with you all. I am also shooting so many new looks this week so there will a tonne of content to see on Love Life over the next while (at long last).
I feel like Love Life & myself have a new lease of life and I cannot wait to show you all the next part of this amazing journey!
