Adidas x JD Sports

Anyone that knows me, knows I really am a boy at heart! I adore nothing more than street style, sports wear and everything casual yet comfy. I literally spend 99.9% of my days off lounging around in an "Oversized Adidas Hoodie" of some sort and either Sports Leggings or if I want to look a little dressier I wear Black Leather Skinnies with a pair of trainers of course! My selection of Adidas Sweaters and Trainers is slightly getting out of hand but when I saw this "Burgundy Adidas Sweater" in JD Sports, do you really think I could leave it behind? Since I picked up the sweater in an abnormally oversized size, I decided to go with the simple "3-Stripe Adidas Black Leggings" for my bottom half. These are without a doubt the comfiest things you will ever wear, I live in mine. Keeping things simple to finish off the look I went with my "Beige Gazelles from Adidas" which I absolutely adore. They are like a smart/casual trainer that can be worn dressed up or down, and as an added bonus they are beyond comfortable. I picked up the entire look from my local JD Sports store but the entire look is available in store or online here.

My PrettyLittleThing Style.

I'd love to let on that my life is very exciting and that I continuously have loads of trips planned and that something big is happening but the reality is, 90% of us bloggers are normal, we lead normal everyday lives but also have our social media life too. Alongside my blog, I work full-time, I just finished my College Degree and have now decided to go back again in September to further my education (Do I think I have 35 hour days?), I am trying to live the normal 22 year old lifestyle when I act about 70 and my blog is my little piece of freedom on the side. I never really say I am proud of myself but today I am going to. I am proud of what Love Life has become, I am proud that even on the days when I wanted to give up that I kept battling on, I am proud of the hard work I have put in to achieve some of the amazing things that have happened to me and I am also very proud with what's to come too.
People often ask me why do I blog and why do I put myself out there and the only answer I have for them is that I love fashion! I LOVE CLOTHES! Nothing makes me happier than styling up pieces, creating new looks and expressing myself in the clothes I wear. It is the way I show the world who I am without having to say a single word. Along with all that I am very lucky that my amazing followers have decided to follow my blog, to encourage what I share and talk about their love of fashion too and if all that wasn't enough I am proud of the amazing relationships I have made with some of the biggest brands in the world, especially PrettyLittleThing. The PLT team are literally like my second family at this stage! I have had the honour to work with them on numerous projects that I could not be prouder of and this is just the beginning. Since day one I have always shopped on PLT so to be able to work with a brand I have always loved is a dream come true. The PLT team and brand just get it. They accept those of us who are a little different, who like to push fashion boundaries and who cherish every inch of ourselves. This is just the very beginning of what's to come and I cannot wait to show you what I have planned - Work Hard, Dream Big!

Autumn With Primark*

I am sure 99% of people are dreading the colder season coming in but I have never been happier to say farewell to Shorts and Crop Tops and hello to Oversized Sweaters and Ankle Boots. Nothing makes me happier than Autumn/Winter Fashion where tonnes of layers are acceptable, no skin has to be on show and oversized everything is a must. My go-too outfit for the colder season is definitely Mom Jeans and a Sweater of some sort, I just think it is a simple look that you can throw on in 10.2 seconds but you can also dress it up in an instant if needs be. Of course I had to do a one stop shop at Primark/Penneys recently to slowly transform my wardrobe from Summer to Autumn. First of all I picked up these gorgeous "Blue Denim Mom Jeans" from the ladies section for €23 I am almost certain, I am one of those girls that throw away tags and receipts the minute I buy anything so I apologise in advance for the prices etc not being 100% right! Primark is probably one of my favourite places to pick up jeans. They do so many different sizes, shapes and styles that there is something for everyone and since I adore a good High-Waist pair of Jeans I think their Mom Jeans are one of the best fit around.
Now onto the top half of me - the Sweater. It wouldn't be me if I didn't take a trip to the mens section for Sweaters now would it? When I stumbled across their section of plain and simple Sweaters and Hoodies, I had to pick them up - IN ALL COLOURS, I REPEAT, ALL OF THEM, haha but for only €8/€11 they were an absolute bargain! They come in every colour from Black to Green but the Mustard, Red and Khaki had to be my favourite 3. They are the ideal pieces for keeping you warm and cosy along with staying bang on trend. Simple accessorising is all you need for looks like this and you will definitely see me living in looks like this, this Autumn/Winter.
All pieces are available in Primark/Penneys Stores now.

Castlepalooza X*

If you weren't following my social media over the weekend then you missed out! I was lucky enough to attend the amazing Castlepalooza Festival this Sunday as a guest of PrettyLittleThing - PINCH ME! I have been the biggest fan of the brand since the very beginning and it is always my one stop shop for any event, party or festival I have to attend. When I was invited to go to Castlepalooza with a few other Irish Bloggers, I absolutely jumped at the opportunity and even now I still can't believe that little old me was asked. It is a dream come true to work with one of my all time favourite brands so I am forever grateful they asked me.
As you may know if you have been following me for awhile that Festival Fashion is my ultimate favourite. Anything and everything goes and I think that is why I love it! I love mixing and matching prints to put together a funky look with my own little twist. My look for Castlepalooza was one of my all time favourites and I felt so comfortable and confident in it. There is no where else I would rather shop for festival fashion and with one more big festival this Summer, I will 100% be stocking up on more PLT pieces. See the whole PrettyLittleThing Festival Shop here.
Yet again I just want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to PrettyLittleThing for inviting me to Castlepalooza, for allowing me do a Snapchat Takeover for them and of course for dressing me for the occasion. I am feeling very blessed and lucky right now!

Growing Up!

It's been a hot minute since I last wrote a proper blog post, I seriously need to learn how to juggle my life asap! have literally been the definition of a negative nelly the last while and have just let everything get on top of me, but with an exciting few days ahead and a reboot in my work ethic, I am very excited to get cracking down and working on a few exciting projects! I just wanted to do a little catch up on where I have been and what I have been doing, the in's and out's as to why I have been basically MIA lately!
If you follow me on my social media channels, mainly Instagram (@niamh_lovelife) you would see that my main job is as a Retail Makeup Artist for Charlotte Tilbury. It is an amazing brand to work for and I have been provided with endless opportunities so you can probably tell I adore my job. Lately I was lucky enough to be taken on full time with the company which I can't quite believe my luck. That being said balancing a full-time job with a full-time blog has been quite challenging for me lately but I feel like I am getting there. At 22 years of age it is now I should be "burning the candle at both ends" as my Nan would say to me. So I am (very) slowly but surely getting there, learning to not waste time staring into space and watching tv. To go out on that Saturday Night with my friends but remain ready for work Sunday morning. I am only in my early 20's, I should not be acting like a settled 40'something year old with 3 kids, realistically my life is just beginning!
On the blog side of things, my creative drive has been next to nothing lately - practically extinct. As you can tell from my previous post I almost gave up blogging there awhile back, I just became too bogged down on numbers, followers, why wasn't I creating content good enough, constantly comparing myself to others and in turn lost who I was as a person and a blogger. I have always been so set on who I am as a person and what I stand for! I genuinely believe in working 24 hour days to make your dream a reality but comparing myself to others made me loose that determined mindset. I became kind of content just letting life pass me by and letting my dreams just slip by me. Thankfully though I have snapped myself slightly out of it - well kind of. I battle with my head every single day, so my battle with anxiety over the last while has been hard because of all this comparing and over thinking I was doing but thankfully I am working on it everyday to pull myself out of this rut I got dragged back into and I am very excited to work on some amazing projects I have in the pipeline. Sometimes I honestly have to pinch myself with the opportunities I have been given - I don't deserve it all.
Last but not least I kind of done a social media detox lately, I literally unfollowed people that were bringing nothing but negative thoughts into my life, stopped watching Snapchats that were of no relevance or benefit to me and it has quite possibly been the best thing I have ever done. Now when I stroll through Instagram, all I am seeing is the faces of my friends and family, the people I admire and the people that inspire me. I didn't realise how beneficial a social media detox would be for my life but in all honesty it has been nothing but a blessing in disguise.
Without going on too much, I basically want to say thank you! Thank you to all the amazing people reading this post right now, to the followers who constantly interact with me, message me the nicest messages and most importantly show me nothing but an endless amount of support when chasing my dreams. Never in a million years did I think that setting up my blog a few years back would lead to so many incredible opportunities, amazing friends and once in a lifetime memories - I am very excited for what the future holds!
